APPLICATION TOOLS:
- Garden Sprayer
- Brush (nylon or polyester)
- Paint Pad
- Airless sprayer with a 421 contractor spray tip (not to exceed 500 psi)
- Nap Roller. 3/8" or 3/4".
SURFACE PREPARATION:
- Older surfaces should be power-washed and cleaned with Lifeguard Concrete Cleaner to assure removal of dirt and oil that may have built up over the
years. High pressure water equipment providing 1,200-2,000 psi should be used for rinsing to assure that all detergent residues are completely removed.
PREPARATORY WORK:
- A test application on each surface to be treated is to ensure compatibility and desired results. Test panels are also useful in determining final application rate and procedures. Test should be applied using the same equipment as
for job application. Test area should be a minimum of two foot by two foot area.
- Always test before general application to verify that any darkening created by the treatment is acceptable. Allow a minimum of 24 hours between test application and general application.
- Lifeguard Wet Look Gloss WB is intended for use only as specified. Do not use for any other purpose.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Be sure to apply Lifeguard in three (3) saturating coats, so that the surface remains wet for a few seconds before penetrating. Allow each coat to dry 15 minutes before applying additional coats.
- Surface pools and puddles should
be removed by backrolling until the Lifeguard completely penetrates into the sudace. Failure to do so may result in blotching and/or a glistening appearance.
- Lifeguard includes special additives which protects your surfaces long after the initial water beading has diminished.
LIMITATIONS:
- Do not apply to previously painted, stained or sealed sudaces.
- Avoid applying on dirty or wet surfaces.
- Do not apply to any hot surfaces or if precipitation is expected within a 24 hour period. Avoid hot weather conditions, when possible, limit application to shaded conditions during hot weather months.
- Excess moisture may appear as dark areas after applying Lifeguard to new or old stone or concrete.
- lrrigating or rinsing with unfiltered tap water will result in hard water spots on the surtace.
CLEAN UP
- Clean all equipment and tools with
soap and water.
- lf excess product appears on the
surface 5 minutes after application, use damp cloth and gently rub to remove. Repeat as needed.
DRYING TIME:
- Will dry to the touch and can be
walked on in 6 hours.
- lt takes 24 hours to set up an initial water barrier.
- Must be allowed to dry for at least 48 hours before it is exposed to heavy obiects or large amounts of water for long periods of time (i.e. severe rain storm).
- Complete drying may take as
long as 5 to 7 days, depending on temperature and humidity.
IMPORTANT: Read product container before starting project.
