APPLICATION TECHNIQUES:
- SPRAYERS: Pass nozzle about 8 to 10 inches from the surface in straight, short swipes. IMPORTANT; Saturate joints thoroughly with material, back-roll excess from surface.
- SQUEEGEE: Pour JOINT BOND the surface and spread over surface. Work material into joints with squeegee. Ensure all joints are flooded with no puddles on the surface.
APPLICATION GUIDELINES:
- Apply one (1) coat of product to a small, inconspicuous, clean and dry test area. If JOINT BOND produces results in any way which are not satisfactory to you, discontinue its use and contact a Lifeguard Customer Service Representative. The finish should have a slight sheen. Wait at least 24 hours to determine compatibility.
- JOINT BOND should be applied in a one- coat, liberal and saturating application using sufficient material so that the joints are saturated. JOINT BOND will appear milky white but dries clear. Back-roll any excess product that appears on the surface. Failure to back-roll excess may result in blotching.
- Avoid application on DIRTY or WET surfaces. Do not apply to previously sealed surfaces until the surface is properly cleaned.
LIMITATIONS:
- Do not add solvents, catalysts or curing agents.
- Do not apply during inclement weather, when the surface temperature is above 90°F or below 40°F
- Do not apply to marble, porcelain, terrazzo or polished stone.
DRYING TIME:
- Allow at least 2 hours for foot traffic.
- During the first 24 hours, do not subject JOINT BOND to motor vehicle traffic.
CLEAN UP:
- JOINT BOND cleans up easily with warm water and detergent.
EFFLORESCENCE REMOVAL:
- Use Lifeguard Efflorescence Remover as directed on the container.
- An area cleaned with Lifeguard Efflorescence Remover should be sealed within 48 - 72 hours.
COVERAGE RATES:
- Estimated coverage: 50-200 Sq.Ft/Gal.
