APPLICATION TOOLS:
- Garden Sprayer
- Brush (nylon or polyester) or Paint Pad or Nap Roller 3/8" or 3/4"
- Airless sprayer with a 421 contractor spray tip (not to exceed 500 psi)
SURFACE PREPARATION:
- Older pavers should be power-washed and cleaned with Lifeguard Cleaner and Brightener to assure removal of dirt and oil that may have built up over the years. High pressure water equipment providing 1,200-2,000 psi should be used for rinsing to assure that all detergent residues are completely removed.
PREPARATORY WORK:
- A test application on each paver surface to be treated is to ensure compatibility and desired results. Test panels are also useful in determining final application rate and procedures. Test should be applied using the same equipment as for job
application. Test area should be a minimum of two foot by two foot area.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Be sure to apply Lifeguard Natural Look in two (2) saturating coats, so that the paver surface remains wet for a few seconds before penetrating. Allow each coat to dry before applying additional coats
- Surface pools and puddles should be removed by back-rolling until the Lifeguard Natural Look completely penetrates into the paver. Failure to do so may result in blotching and/or a glistening appearance.
- Lifeguard Natural Look includes special additives which protects your pavers long after the initial water beading has diminished.
- The joint sand needs to be level with the bottom of the chamfer on beveled pavers. The sand must be 1/8" below the surface on non-beveled or tumbled pavers.
DRYING TIME:
- Will dry to the touch and can be walked on in 6 hours
- It takes 24 hours to set up an initial water barrier
- Must be allowed to dry for at least 48 hours before it is exposed to heavy objects or large amounts of water for long periods of time (i.e. severe rain storm).
CLEAN UP:
- Clean all equipment and tools with soap and water
- If excess product appears on the surface 5 minutes after application, use damp cloth and gently rub to remove. Repeat as needed.
IMPORTANT: Read product container before starting project.
