The test plot should be completely dry and free from water. The area must remain dry for at least 24 after the application. Compact the plot to 95%. Temperature must be above 50"F. Apply Soil Bond as directed.
AGGREGATE BASE PREPARATION:
lnstall 6 inches of 3/4 minus, 3/8 minus or 1/4 minus over the compacted soil sub-grade. Use a vibratory plate or hand tamper and compact material to 95%.
SURFACE AGGREGATE SELECTION:
The surface aggregate should contain a mix of 3/4 minus, 3/8 minus or 1/4 minus. Spread the aggregate to at least a 2" level depth. Slope the aggregate so that the finished surface will be free of low spots so water will not puddle.
APPLICATION:
Soil Bond requires 2 coats for foot traffic and 3 coats for vehicle traffic. Apply with a pump sprayer and flood the surface evenly. Allow the each coat to fully saturate the aggregate.
COVERAGE RATES:
The estimated coverage for the 1st coat is 15 sq/ft per gallon. The 2nd coat 20 sq/ft per gallon. The 3rd coat 30 sq/ft per gallon.
CURE TIME:
Soil Bond requires 12-24 hours of cure time for foot traffic and 24-36 hours for vehicle traffic.
PRECAUTIONS:
Do not apply if rain is forecast within 24 hours. Avoid air temperatures above 90"F or below 50'F. The first application must not be allowed to dry before subsequent coab are applied. An improperly prepared foundation can cause surface cracks. Not for use as a sealer.
MAINTENANCE:
Remove any debris by mechanically blowing the surface. Any loose aggregate should be redistributed over the affected area. Reapply Soil Bond euery 12-24 months or as needed.
REPAIRS:
Excavate damaged area down to the base. Moisten damaged area lightly with water. Fill in area with crushed stone mix and compact. Reapply Soil Bond.
IMPORTANT: Read product container before starting project.
